William Hughes and Coronavirus

Never, in our over-200-year history, are we aware of an event with as much potential to inflict damage on both our people and our production schedules as the current Coronavirus pandemic.

We would like to assure our customers, and LinkedIn followers, that we will be doing everything we can to stick as closely as possible to agreed development and delivery schedules whilst taking every precaution to ensure that our staff, directors and suppliers remain safe.

Specifically, in the light of Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s announcement last night, we are closing our facilities in the UK until such time as the Government feel it is safe for us to re-open. We will be monitoring the situation closely and doing all we can to be ready to hit the ground running when we are allowed to return to work. Nosag Polska, our factory in Poland, will close for 2 weeks from next Monday; our factory at Plovdiv in Bulgaria is still open but we do not expect that situation to continue much longer.

Many members of our administration team will be working from home in order to keep lines of communication open. Please bear with us – stay safe and we look forward to resuming where we leave off as soon as normalcy returns.
