Solar, so good!
Further to the successful installation of our Rooftop Solar Photovoltaic System, we’re delighted to announce that we are continuing our efforts to help reduce Dorset’s carbon footprint by adding a further rooftop array of 391 solar panels to our original 1300 panels. This will generate an additional 136.85 kWp to produce an annual yield of 113,586 kWh, allowing us generate more than enough electricity to power our entire factory.
The total cost of the new panels, which are being installed by CleanEarth Energy Ltd, is £94,500, part funded by Low Carbon Dorset as part of the European Regional Development Fund. The new panels will save around 25,000 kg of CO2 from the Dorset air each year.
